Southern Immediate Care Data Breach

Southern Immediate Care Data Breach May Have Exposed Patient Information

Pittman, Dutton, Hellums, Bradley & Mann, P.C. is investigating a data breach involving Southern Immediate Care, an urgent care provider with multiple locations across Alabama. The incident may have compromised the personal information of current and former patients.

What Happened In This Data Breach?

In April 2025, Southern Immediate Care detected unusual activity within an employee’s email account. An internal investigation determined that two employee mailboxes had been accessed without authorization, and the information contained in those accounts could have been downloaded.

The compromised email accounts reportedly contained patient-related data, and the clinic may soon begin notifying individuals whose information was impacted.

What Information Was Exposed?

While the specific details have not yet been disclosed, the affected information may include personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) contained in patient communications and medical records.
