Endue Software, a Portland, Maine-based technology company, has disclosed a significant data breach impacting more than 118,000 individuals. The breach, which stemmed from an external cyberattack, exposed sensitive personal and medical data—leaving affected individuals vulnerable to identity theft and fraud.
On February 16, 2025, an unauthorized party gained access to Endue Software’s internal computer systems during a brief intrusion. The breach went undetected until March 31, 2025, when the company discovered suspicious activity and launched an internal investigation.
According to Endue’s CEO, the company immediately took steps to secure its environment and assess the scope of the incident. A forensic review confirmed that files were copied during the breach, and those files included information tied to individuals from Endue’s client base. Endue Software began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals on April 11, 2025.
