Century Support Services Data Breach Exposes Personal and Financial Information of Over 160,000 Individuals

Pittman, Dutton, Hellums, Bradley & Mann, P.C. is investigating a significant data breach involving Century Support Services, a debt settlement company, which has compromised the personal information of 160,759 individuals across the United States.

What Happened?

On or around November 7, 2024, a cybercriminal gained unauthorized access to Century Support Services' computer systems. After a forensic investigation concluded on May 30, 2025, it was determined that sensitive personal and health-related information had potentially been accessed or stolen.

Century Support Services began notifying affected individuals on June 27, 2025, and disclosed the breach to the Maine Attorney General’s Office on July 14, 2025, followed by the Texas and Massachusetts Attorneys General on July 15.

What Information Was Compromised?

The compromised data may include a wide range of personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI), including:

  • Full names
  • Dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers
  • Physical addresses
  • Driver’s license or state-issued ID numbers
  • Passport numbers
  • Medical and health insurance information
  • Financial account details
  • Digital signatures

This information is highly valuable to cybercriminals and can be used to commit identity theft, financial fraud, and other privacy violations.
