Harold Burton v. Alabama Plate Cutting Co., Inc. (Circuit Court of Shelby, Alabama)

Shelia Melvin v. Lowe’s (Circuit Court of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama)

It was alleged that, while shopping at Lowe’s Home Center, a piece of shelving fell, striking Melvin in the face. Melvin suffered permanent and disfiguring injuries to her face and neck. The case was settled pursuant to a confidentiality agreement.
